Girls Just Wanna Run – July 20, 2013 at Phelps Grove Park

Girls Just Wanna Run attracts participants from a three-state region and is quickly becoming the race to attend. As a 2013 event sponsor, you will have the opportunity to share in multi-media marketing giving you greater return on your investment. Benefits include exposure on coxhealthfoundation.com, the CoxHealth Foundation Facebook page, radio advertising, event signage, a great gift bag and more.

All sponsors share in the “Fun Before The Run” expo where participants pick up their packets and stay to play with us as we share information and education about our sponsors and CoxHealth wellness programs. At last year’s expo, we saw more than 90% of the enrolled participants. Girls Just Wanna Run invites you to cross the finish line with us by becoming a 2013 sponsor.

Girls Just Wanna Run is proud to announce the 2013 event proceeds will benefit the CoxHealth Fitness Centers Scholarship Program. The program was developed in 2007 to assist those with a healthy lifestyle need and limited income in receiving a fitness center membership. Scholarship applicants must meet specific criteria to qualify for this program.

Since the inception of the program, CoxHealth Fitness Centers have awarded 156 scholarships to those needing to lose weight, build strength, reduce medications and improve function in daily activities. As we are able to increase the funding for this program, we will help that many more people who otherwise may not get the tools and support they need to improve their activity level and lead a healthier life.

The Colorectal Rundie 5k Run/Walk – October 26, 2013 at CoxHealth Meyer Center

To benefit the Colorectal Cancer Prevention Fund at CoxHealth Foundation

Each participant will receive a pair of “Rundie” logo Boxer Shorts which we encourage you to wear the day of the event. On the REAR, please give us your best colorectal cancer prevention message. You can decorate your shorts any way you wish—crayons, markers, puffy paint — be CREATIVE. Example: Get BEHIND the Cause, or Kick Cancer in the REAR. The BEST MESSAGE will receive a $250 cash prize!
