Janice Crosser’s husband had a heart attack and then quadruple bypass. He had been laid off and was uninsured at the time. Just when they were getting back on their feet, Janice was diagnosed with high grade ductal carcinoma. Janice had her tumor removed and after a 4-week course of radiation, did all she could to return to work.

Her sense of being financially overwhelmed was adding to her slow recovery when she was introduced to the CoxHealth Foundation’s patient assistance program.

“I can’t even believe it. When I received this letter saying I was given a grant for financial support, I just… well, I cried. Thank you, thank you for the support that means so much to my husband and I. We are so, so grateful.” says Janice.
