Support When You Need It Most

The Employee Crisis Fund provides financial help to CoxHealth employees during times of serious and unforeseen hardship.
The Cox Family Assistance Fund, also known as the employee crisis fund, was founded by former CoxHealth CEO Larry Wallis and his wife Pat. This fund was their way of saying thank you to CoxHealth employees for their dedication to their jobs, patients and co-workers. The goal is to provide support during a defined time of crisis.

What Qualifies?

This fund is not intended to cover every day household living expenses. It is meant for those things which are out of your control. By example:

To Apply:

Read the policy. Include all requested documents: application, supervisor recommendation, explanation of need, a copy of your last pay stub and a W9 form.

Upon receipt of all items the application will be sent to the employee committee for review and decision. NO application will be processed without all required documents. Expect a reply within 24 hours.

HOPE CARD (Help Our People Eat)

The CoxHealth Foundation provides grocery assistance for families in crisis. HOPE cards are funded through the proceeds of the 1906 Employee Store.  

To receive a HOPE CARD complete the Cox Family Assistance Fund Application and email to [email protected] or fax to 417-269-9599.

Cards must be picked up at the CoxHealth Foundation office or can be mailed if the employee is outside the Springfield area. Cards are limited to 2 a year.
