It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that Bob Bezanson passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 3rd. Bob served CoxHealth from August 1 of 2004 to December 31, 2011. He began his 30 year career as Cox South Administrator, rising to the role of Executive VP and COO and later as President and CEO. Bezanson was instrumental in the health system’s construction on the strip of medical facilities on South National Avenue known as the Medical Mile. He was key to the capital projects now a vital part of the organization, including the Meyer Orthopedic Hospital, CoxHealth Surgery Center and the new Cox South Emergency & Trauma Center.
Bob leaves behind his beloved wife Cindy of Springfield, MO.
Arrangements for Mr. Bezanson will be this Thursday, June 9th at the Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3540 E. Seminole from 3:30-5PM. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Bezanson asks that donations be made to the CoxHealth Foundation in Bob’s name.
