The CoxHealth Foundation has been awarded $127,015 through the 2024 Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP).
This award from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security through the Missouri Department of Public Safety is awarded to CoxHealth to update security at the South Campus in Springfield. The award will fund the installation of 41 advanced digital cameras integrated that will be strategically placed in high-risk areas like the Emergency Department, parking garage, and patient floors. By leveraging AI technology, the system will proactively detect and respond to threats, optimize security personnel deployment, and strengthen cybersecurity. This investment will significantly improve the safety of patients, staff, and visitors at Cox South Hospital.
“This grant will greatly enhance our video surveillance program on the South campus, improving safety for our staff, patients, and visitors,” said Alan Butler, Administrative Director of Public Safety-Security at CoxHealth.
