The CoxHealth Foundation is proud to have awarded four scholarships to future health professionals. Students at Lamar High School and Monett High School submitted applications to receive the first Future Forward Scholarships. These awards of $1,000 each are for students choosing to pursue a health profession following high school graduation, as they enter college. Students had to submit an application form, essay about their career choice and two references from teachers or community along with their GPA. For the Lamar winners, Roxy Sprouls and Katie Shields were the recipients. For Monett, Sarah Negre and Sonnie Ferguson Winfrey were the recipients. Those students are featured in this photo along with Dr. Jeremy Sturgell (back row, 2nd from left) from Cox Barton County Hospital and Andrea McKay (Back row third from left), president of Cox Monett and Cox Barton County Hospitals. Congratulations to all the winners and we look forward to the many lives you will touch as caregivers in the future!
