What an incredible night in Lamar! The CoxHealth Foundation proudly hosted its very first Raise the Barn Trivia Night fundraiser—and thanks to the overwhelming support of the community, it was a tremendous success.
From the moment the doors opened, the energy was undeniable. Friends, families, physicians, local businesses, and trivia lovers from across the area came together with one shared purpose: to support Cox Barton County Hospital. Because of YOU, funds raised during the event will stay right here in Barton County, directly impacting patient care for our friends and neighbors.
Community That Shows Up
We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed—whether you attended, donated, volunteered, or helped spread the word. Your support not only made the night memorable, but it also made a real difference in the lives of those who depend on our local hospital.
Special Thank-Yous
Events like this don’t happen without outstanding partners:
- Joplin Regional Stockyards
- Arvest Bank
- Lamar Bank and Trust
- Daniel Funeral Home
A heartfelt thank-you to our sponsors for helping bring this vision to life.
We also want to extend a special shout-out to Dr. John Alden, our MC for the evening. His energy and enthusiasm helped set the tone for a fantastic night.
Trivia lovers enjoyed a fun and creative challenge thanks to Kate Orlandi and Rachel Howard from CoxHealth Young Professionals, who crafted the questions and kept the competition lively.
Thank you as well to Belt Cocktail Company for supporting the festivities and to the Barton County Chamber of Commerce for ensuring our technology worked seamlessly.
And of course, none of this would have been possible without the dedication of the Cox Barton County Hospital Employee Engagement Committee, Cheryl Fortner, Andrea McKay, and the CoxHealth Auxiliary. Your commitment shines through in everything you do.
Looking Ahead
Here’s to a community that shows up, gives back, and lifts each other up. This year’s Raise the Barn Trivia Night was only the beginning—and we can’t wait to do it again.
Until next year… let’s keep raising the barn!
